Frequently asked questions
Is SkyTravo a government website?
No. We're an independent guide, not a government site or a visa agency, and we don't take applications. Our links take you to the official government sites.
Do arrival cards cost money?
The Thai TDAC, the SG Arrival Card and Malaysia's MDAC are free on their official sites. If a site asks you to pay, it isn't official.
How up to date is this information?
Every rule shows the date we last verified it and the official source we used. Rules can change after that date, so look at the official site again before you travel.
Do I need an arrival card if I do not need a visa?
You may still need one. An arrival card is separate from a visa: the Thai TDAC and the SG Arrival Card also apply to visa-free visitors unless they meet an exemption. Check the Visa and Arrival forms sections for your trip.
Which passport country should I choose?
Choose the country that issued the passport you will use for this trip, rather than the country where you live. If you have more than one passport, check the one you plan to travel with.
Do I need a return or onward ticket?
It depends on your destination and entry route. The Onward travel section explains the confirmed requirements and any alternatives for your trip. Follow its official links to check the details before you travel.
What does “Not confirmed” mean?
It means we do not have a confirmed answer for that requirement. It does not mean you are exempt. You can still read the confirmed information and use the official links to check with the relevant authority.
How do I find the official arrival-card website?
Use the official link in the Arrival forms section and check the website address before entering your passport details. Lookalike sites can charge for a form that is free on the government site. Our arrival-card guides explain where to submit.
Does the checker cover work, study or transit?
The checker is for adults travelling for tourism with ordinary passports. For work, study, transit or another passport type, use the destination’s official immigration service to check the rules that apply to you.
