Arrival cards
Malaysia Digital Arrival Card (MDAC)
MDAC is required for foreign visitors entering Malaysia by air, land or sea unless exempt. It is an arrival declaration, not a visa. When to submit: within 3 days before arrival. The official form counts the day you submit as one of those 3 days, and accepts arrival dates from the day you submit up to two days later. You do not need to apply at least three days ahead. Exempt categories: Singapore citizens; diplomatic or official passport holders; Malaysian permanent residents and long-term pass holders; Brunei GCI holders; Brunei–Malaysia Frequent Traveller Facility holders; Thailand Border Pass holders; Indonesian cross-border PLB holders. Living or working in Singapore alone does not exempt you. Border-document exemptions apply to those specific documents, not to all ordinary-passport holders from those countries. Autogate users still submit MDAC unless they are in an exempt category. Use only the official Immigration Department site. Registering on the official MDAC site is free; sites that charge a fee are not the official one.
