1. About these terms
These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Restaumy Ltd. Co., a Texas limited liability company that runs SkyTravo ("SkyTravo", "we", "us", "our"). They apply to your use of www.skytravo.com, its pages in every language, and the SkyTravo newsletter (together, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.
2. What SkyTravo is
SkyTravo is a free information service about official entry requirements for international travel, such as visas, travel authorizations, arrival cards and other entry conditions. We summarize information published by governments and other official sources, and we link to those sources.
SkyTravo is independent. It is not a government website, it is not affiliated with or endorsed by any government or authority, and it is not a visa agency. We don't submit applications, collect government fees, or decide who may enter a country. Only the relevant authorities make those decisions, often at the border.
3. Information only: not legal or immigration advice
Everything on the Service is general information. It is not legal advice, immigration advice or professional advice of any kind, and it does not take your personal situation into account. Using the Service does not create a lawyer–client or any other professional relationship.
If your situation is complex or the stakes are high (for example, you have a past refusal, dual nationality, a criminal record, a long stay, work or study plans, or a tight connection), talk to the official authority or a qualified immigration professional.
4. Always verify with the official authority
This is the most important part of these Terms. Entry rules can change at any time and without notice, sometimes after our last check. Our information may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and it may not cover your exact passport, travel document, route, purpose of travel or circumstances.
Before you book or travel, you must confirm the requirements that apply to you directly with the official authority, such as the destination's immigration department, official government portal, or its embassy or consulate. Also check the rules of your airline and of any country you transit through. Where SkyTravo and an official source differ, the official source is correct.
Each rule on SkyTravo shows the source we used and the date we last checked it. That date tells you when we looked, not that the rule is still current.
5. No guarantee of accuracy
We work to keep the information accurate and current, but we don't promise that it is complete, correct, current or suitable for your trip. We may correct, change or remove information at any time without notice.
6. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- your travel documents, visas, permits and any other approvals you need;
- checking the requirements that apply to you with the official authority;
- applying through official channels and paying any official fees; and
- the decisions you make about your travel.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the Service for its intended purpose: looking up entry requirements for your own travel or to help other people with theirs. You agree not to:
- break any law, or use the Service to mislead others, for example by presenting SkyTravo as a government source or as official approval;
- try to disrupt, overload, damage or gain unauthorized access to the Service, its hosting or its systems, or test its security without our written permission;
- introduce malware or other harmful code;
- use automated tools in a way that places an unreasonable load on the Service, gets around rate limits or other technical measures, or ignores the instructions in our robots.txt file;
- copy or republish substantial parts of the Service, or build a competing database from it, except as Section 8 allows; or
- submit false information through the newsletter form, or sign up someone else without their permission.
8. Our content and your license to use it
The Service, including its text, summaries, selection and arrangement of data, design, logo and software, belongs to us or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other laws. "SkyTravo" is our brand name, and the SkyTravo logo is our logo. Please don't use them in a way that suggests we endorse or are connected with you or your product.
We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable license to view and use the Service for non-commercial purposes. You may share links to our pages and quote short extracts with a link back to the page. Any other copying, republishing or commercial use needs our written permission.
We don't claim ownership of official government texts or of facts. You remain free to use those from their original sources.
Photos are by their photographers, are used under the Unsplash License, and are credited and linked on the page where they appear and on our credits page. Their rights stay with them.
9. Corrections and feedback
If you spot an error or an outdated rule, email hello@skytravo.com. If you send us corrections, suggestions or other feedback, you agree that we may use it to improve the Service without paying you or owing you anything. We don't have to act on it or reply.
10. Newsletter
You can subscribe to our newsletter on /en/newsletter/. A subscription starts only after you confirm it through the link in the email we send you. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email, or by emailing hello@skytravo.com. The newsletter is general information too, and Sections 3 to 5 apply to it. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your email address.
11. Third-party sites and services
The Service links to sites we don't run, including official government websites and Unsplash. The newsletter sign-up is handled by Brevo, our email provider. These services have their own terms and privacy policies. We don't control them and aren't responsible for their content, availability or practices. A link is not an endorsement.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED FREE OF CHARGE, "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DON'T WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE OR ERROR-FREE.
13. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA OR GOODWILL;
- WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR LOSSES THAT COME FROM RELYING ON INFORMATION ON THE SERVICE, INCLUDING DENIED BOARDING, REFUSED ENTRY OR VISA, MISSED OR CANCELLED FLIGHTS, ACCOMMODATION OR TOUR COSTS, FINES, OR FEES PAID TO THIRD PARTIES; AND
- OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO US$100.
These limits apply whatever the legal theory (contract, tort including negligence, or otherwise), even if we were told the loss was possible. Some places don't allow some of these limits, so they may not all apply to you. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for gross negligence or willful misconduct where the law requires it.
14. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Restaumy Ltd. Co. and its owners, officers, employees and contractors from any claims, losses, liabilities and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) that arise from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or anyone else's rights.
15. Changes to the Service
The Service is free, and we may change, suspend or stop any part of it at any time, including the newsletter, without notice or liability.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. When we do, we'll post the new version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. If a change is significant, we'll also make reasonable efforts to point it out, for example with a notice on the site. Changes apply from the date they're posted. If you keep using the Service after that, you accept the updated Terms.
17. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or block your access to the Service, at any time and without notice, if we reasonably believe you have broken these Terms or are harming the Service or other people. You can stop using the Service at any time. Sections 3 to 5, 8, 9 and 12 to 21 continue to apply after that.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms, and any dispute about them or the Service, are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Before starting a formal claim, please email hello@skytravo.com and give us 30 days to try to resolve it informally.
Any claim must be brought only in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction and venue.
If you are a consumer in the European Union, the United Kingdom or another country whose law gives you mandatory protections, you keep those protections, including any right to bring a claim in the courts where you live.
19. Severability and no waiver
If a court finds any part of these Terms invalid or unenforceable, that part will be enforced as far as possible, and the rest stays in effect. If we don't enforce a right or provision, that doesn't mean we waive it.
20. Entire agreement and assignment
These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service, and they replace any earlier terms. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms. We may transfer ours, for example to a company that takes over the Service.
21. Language
These Terms are available in English and Spanish. If the two versions differ, the English version prevails, to the extent permitted by law.
