Visa required
Before you travel, check what the official route asks for. Which route is open to you depends on your passport and your situation.
Ordinary-passport holders from Bangladesh, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam must apply for a Macao visa in advance through a Chinese embassy or consulate; visa on arrival is not available. Depending on the visa type, each stay is 14 or 30 days. The passport must be valid for at least 90 days beyond the intended stay.
- Processing time
- Regular service: ready for collection on the fourth working day when the application is not relayed to the Macao Public Security Police Force. Relayed applications usually take 7 working days of police vetting once all documents are complete. Express and urgent service (non-relayed): third and second working day.
- Government fees
- USD 30 per regular application, plus USD 15 per accompanying child. A USD 20 communication fee applies when the application is relayed to the Macao Public Security Police Force; express fees follow the Chinese mission's current rates.

Arrival forms & authorizations
No arrival card required
You do not need to complete an arrival card for Macau. The requirement ended on 10 July 2013.
Immigration issues a printed Slip of Authorization to Stay at arrival. Check the permitted stay and keep the slip throughout your visit. It is issued at clearance, rather than being a form you complete before travelling.
Any visa or entry permission you need, and declarations for qualifying goods or cash, remain separate.
