Visa

No visa required

You don't need a visa for a tourist visit, as long as you stay within the limit and meet the conditions below.

Taiwan ordinary-passport holders may qualify for a 14-day visit, without extension or conversion. Carry a passport valid for six months beyond the stay, a hotel reservation, proof of funds, a return or onward ticket and free eTravel registration. Confirm the current expiry of this temporary arrangement before travel. For a longer visit, a separately approved MECO ETA may allow 30 days or a 9a sticker visa 59 days, subject to its own conditions.

For a longer visit, a separately approved MECO ETA can allow a 30-day stay within its 30-day validity, or a 9a sticker visa can allow 59 days. The ordinary visa-free allowance remains 14 days. Current fees and processing for these optional alternatives have not been confirmed.
