Visa required
Before you travel, check what the official route asks for. Which route is open to you depends on your passport and your situation.
Obtain a visa before travelling. Approved visas are issued electronically, but applications must follow an authorized route through a Singapore local contact or strategic partner, an authorized visa agent or a Singapore mission. Form 14A, a photo and a passport copy are required; a Letter of Introduction and other documents depend on nationality. ICA determines admission and the stay separately from visa validity. A qualifying transit itinerary may have a separate Visa-Free Transit Facility; check all its conditions.
A separate 96-hour Visa-Free Transit Facility may apply when transiting to or from a third country with a confirmed onward flight departing within 96 hours. Arrival may be by any mode, but departure must be by air. No extension is available, and ICA decides eligibility and admission. This does not provide a general tourist visa exemption.
- Processing time
- ICA standard: within three working days after complete submission, excluding submission day; some cases take longer. Mission timing varies.
- Government fees
- SGD 30 nonrefundable government processing fee. Agent or mission charges may apply.

Onward travel
Required under these conditions
ICA's general entry requirements for short-term visitors say you should have enough cash and proof of onward travel, such as tickets and visas. Be ready to show them; ICA decides whether you can enter.
Travel insurance
Recommended
ICA's entry requirements for short-term visitors don't list travel insurance, but it's recommended. Check any conditions for your visa or circumstances.
Other information
These conditions are for a regular tourist visit. Where you live, your visa status and the route you take can change what applies to you.
- Foreign passports must normally have six months of validity. ICA may require sufficient funds, onward-travel evidence and biometrics.
- The e-Pass issued at entry determines the allowed stay. A visa or arrival-card submission does not guarantee admission.
- Yellow-fever certification depends on recent travel history; check ICA’s current entry requirements.
