Required under these conditions

Visa on Arrival: Have a paid departure ticket and leave within the permitted 15-day stay.

Other entry routes and source clarification

Visa exemption: Have confirmed proof of departure by air, train, bus or boat for the ordinary tourist visa-exemption route. Leave within the stay permitted for your entry route.

Source clarification: The Thai Embassy in Doha mentions a ticket usable within 30 days. This does not extend the 15-day stay allowed by Visa on Arrival.

Travel insurance

Recommended

Travel insurance is recommended for ordinary short tourist visits. A general compulsory requirement for all such visitors has not been confirmed. Special long-stay visas can require insurance; check the conditions for your visa or entry route.

Other information

These conditions are for a regular tourist visit. Where you live, your visa status and the route you take can change what applies to you.

  • General visitor guidance requires at least six months of passport validity and one blank page; the Visa on Arrival checklist can require two blank pages.
  • Financial evidence is required, but current official pages disagree on a universal visa-exemption cash threshold. Check the conditions for your specific route.
  • Health requirements depend on recent travel and transit, including yellow-fever risk areas and current disease-control measures. Passport nationality alone does not determine exposure.
